What the Slack Agent Does
The Rize Slack Agent lets you ask questions about your time tracking data without leaving Slack. Ask about your hours, your team's time, project status, or client breakdowns in plain English.
Getting Started
- Go to Settings > Integrations in Rize
- Click "Connect" next to Slack
- Authorize the Rize Slack app in your workspace
- Start chatting with @Rize in any channel or DM
Example Questions
- "How many hours did I work today?"
- "What did the team spend time on this week?"
- "Show me billable hours for Client X this month"
- "What projects did Sarah work on yesterday?"
- "How's our utilization this week?"
What You Can Ask About
- Your time -- daily, weekly, or monthly breakdowns
- Team time -- who worked on what and for how long
- Client and project data -- hours, billable status, and status updates
- Profitability -- revenue, cost, and margin by client or project
Tips
- Be specific about time ranges ("this week", "last month", "today")
- Reference clients and projects by name for faster results
- Use the Slack Agent for quick checks -- use the full Rize dashboard for detailed analysis and exports
