Chat with your time data

Connect Rize to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI tool. Ask questions about how you spend your time, which projects are overrunning, and where to improve — in plain English.

What you can do

Open-ended analysis grounded in your real work data.

01

Ask AI About Your Time

Query your Rize time data in plain English. Ask where your hours went, which projects are overrunning, and what work isn't billable — no exports or dashboards required.

02

Works With Claude and ChatGPT

Connect once via MCP and use your preferred AI assistant. Claude Desktop and ChatGPT both support Rize MCP today.

03

Projects, Clients, and Billing

AI gets the same project, client, and category context you use in Rize. Ask about profitability, utilization, and billable vs. non-billable time.

04

Team Insights

Managers can ask about team workload, capacity, and time allocation across projects. Approve entries, spot overruns, and run retros from a single conversation.

Try these prompts

Copy a prompt and paste it into Claude or ChatGPT with Rize connected.

Example 01

Copy the prompt, then ask it in Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP client.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rize MCP is Rize's Model Context Protocol integration. It gives AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT structured, read-write access to your Rize time data, projects, clients, and reporting context.

Claude Desktop and ChatGPT both support Rize MCP today. Any AI tool that supports the MCP standard can connect to Rize.

Anything about your time data. Examples: how you spent your week, which projects are over budget, profitability by client, meeting vs. deep work ratios, where to incorporate AI into workflows, and what tasks to automate.

Yes. Rize MCP uses OAuth authentication — you explicitly approve each AI tool's access. No data leaves Rize until you authorize the connection. Rize never shares screen content, keystrokes, or prompt text.

Rize MCP is included on Team and Enterprise plans at no additional cost. Professional plan users have read-only access to their personal time data.

For Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add Custom Connector → enter https://mcp.rize.io/mcp → authenticate. For ChatGPT: enable Developer Mode → create an app → add the MCP server URL → authenticate. Full setup video is on this page.
