Plan the Week, Then Check It Against What Happened

Rize is capacity planning software with both halves of the loop. Schedule assignments per member and week on the Resourcing page, set working days and holidays so capacity reflects who is actually available, and import an existing plan from CSV. Rize then captures the work automatically and puts scheduled hours next to tracked hours on the same grid.

Scheduled Assignments by Member and Week

Assign a member to a client, project, or task with hours per day and a date range. Drag across days to select a range, resize or edit an assignment in place, book PTO, and clear a period when the plan changes. Each row shows allocated hours against capacity and each day shows its load.

Scheduled Hours Next to Tracked Hours

Allocation bars show the plan and the captured work side by side per client and project, with a warning when a plan runs past the budget. The Time Entries report adds a Tracked + Planned view charting both against capacity for the period, with the difference per member.

Working Days, Holidays, and Days Off

Planning settings define the working week, public holidays, and company days off. Capacity is calculated from the days people are actually available, so a short week does not read as an underutilized one.

Import a Plan From CSV

Bring an existing schedule over from a spreadsheet or another planning tool. Upload the CSV, preview how each row maps to members and projects, then commit the batch. The same import is available in the public API and MCP.

One View Across Every Team

The organization Resourcing page shows every team's plan in one place, with a team selector and the same client, project, and task filters as the team page. Team Timesheets carry the same capacity signals, so the plan is visible where time is reviewed.

A Record of Every Plan Change

Planning history records who moved what and when. When a project runs long, you can see whether the plan changed mid-flight or the work simply took more hours than it was given.

Rize does both sides of the plan. On the Resourcing page you schedule assignments per member and week against a client, project, or task, with working days and holidays setting each person's capacity. Rize then captures the work automatically and shows scheduled hours next to tracked hours, so you can see who is over capacity while the week is still running.

You can schedule work. Assignments are created per member with hours per day and a date range, and can be dragged across days, resized, reassigned to PTO, or cleared when the plan changes. An existing schedule can be imported from CSV, and every change is kept in planning history.

Allocation bars on the Resourcing page show scheduled and tracked hours side by side per client and project, and warn when a plan exceeds the budget. The Time Entries report has a Tracked + Planned view that charts tracked hours against planned hours and capacity for the period, with scheduled hours and the difference for each member.

Utilization is billable hours divided by available hours. The available side is what usually goes wrong, because holidays, days off, and part-time schedules are ignored. Rize takes capacity from your planning settings and the billable side from automatically captured time, so the rate reflects real availability and real work. Most agencies target 65-75%.

Manual timesheets are written from memory days after the work, so they consistently undercount. Rize captures every active minute as it happens, which is what makes the comparison between planned and actual worth acting on.

No. Rize runs in the background. Your team installs the desktop app and works normally, with no timers to start and no forms to fill out. Planning is done by whoever owns resourcing, not by the whole team.

Float and Teamwork plan the work and then rely on manual time entry to tell you what actually happened, so the comparison is only as good as timer compliance. Rize schedules the same way and captures the actuals itself. The plan is checked against captured work every day rather than against what people remembered to log.

Yes. A Resourcing grant lets someone plan capacity and edit time on one team without organization admin rights. A separate Finance grant covers the profitability numbers, so planning access and financial access are given independently.
