Rize v3.0.26 rolls up every desktop release since v3.0.15. The focus this cycle: the app should update itself reliably, recover on its own when something goes wrong, and keep your credentials safer — so you never have to think about the app, just your work.
IMPROVEMENTS
Reliable auto-updates
Some users were stuck on old versions because updates failed silently. The updater now verifies that each update actually applied on the next launch, reports errors instead of swallowing them, and shows a Download button if an update can't complete — so you're never stranded on a stale build.
Settings that follow you across computers
Device settings now sync to your account instead of living only on one machine. Set up Rize once, and your preferences come with you when you install on a second computer.
Safer sign-in storage
Sign-in credentials moved from a plaintext file to your system's secure storage, and session cookies are now protected from access by page scripts. On macOS, we also removed the repeated Keychain permission prompts this could trigger.
Smoother visuals on macOS
A new opaque-windows option works around a macOS behavior that throttles animations in transparent windows. If the dashboard ever felt sluggish on your Mac, this setting makes it feel instant. We also standardized buttons and inputs across the app for a more consistent look.
FIXES
- Black screen recovery — If the dashboard renderer ever crashes, Rize now detects it and reloads your view automatically — returning you to the page you were on instead of showing a blank window.
- Frozen dashboard after idle — Coming back to your computer after it sat idle could leave the dashboard frozen or blank. It now repaints correctly when you return.
- Startup crash — Fixed a crash that could occur in a narrow window during app launch.
- Sign-in edge cases — Clicking a sign-in link twice no longer signs you out, and if stored credentials can't be read, Rize now prompts you to sign in again instead of silently misbehaving.
- Widget stability — The floating widget could get into a bad state from rapid reloads. It now guards against those races.
- Session timer sync — Timer actions now update session state immediately, so what the timer shows always matches what's being tracked.
Rize updates automatically — and with this release, more reliably than ever. To update right away, restart the app.
