Rize 2.3.4 Release Notes + Feedback Survey

We just released Rize version 2.3.4, a major quality and intelligence upgrade that includes new GPT-5 models, important bug fixes, and powerful new settings for customizing time entry suggestions.

1. Smarter AI with GPT-5

Both auto-tagging and activity summaries now run on GPT-5, giving you:

  • Better context understanding
  • More accurate client/project/task tagging
  • Clearer and more consistent summaries

This results in noticeably higher accuracy across your timeline and suggestions.

2. Important Bug Fixes

We resolved several issues affecting accuracy, stability, and OS compatibility:

  • Dashboard Fix: Client/Project/Task section now updates correctly in the daily summary
  • Focus Session Fix: No more duplicate time entries per session
  • Authentication Bug Fix: Issues preventing successful login are now resolved
  • Apple Silicon Warning: New alert when running the Intel macOS build on an M-chip Mac
  • Updated Shortcut: Merge with previous entry is now CMD/CTRL + SHIFT + U

3. New Time Entry Suggestion Controls

A brand-new panel under Settings → Time Entries gives you deeper control and customization over how Rize generates time entry suggestions.

New options include:

  • Ideal Time Entry Length — AI’s target duration for suggestions
  • Minimum Time Entry Length — Ignore tiny blocks (goodbye 1-minute suggestions)
  • Custom Instructions for Activity Summaries — Tell AI what to highlight
  • Custom Instructions for Task, Project, & Client Suggestions — Add your own tagging guidance
  • Enable/Disable Task, Project, & Client Suggestions — Turn suggestions off entirely

These settings make Rize significantly more flexible for different workflows.
