We just released Rize version 2.3.4, a major quality and intelligence upgrade that includes new GPT-5 models, important bug fixes, and powerful new settings for customizing time entry suggestions.
1. Smarter AI with GPT-5
Both auto-tagging and activity summaries now run on GPT-5, giving you:
- Better context understanding
- More accurate client/project/task tagging
- Clearer and more consistent summaries
This results in noticeably higher accuracy across your timeline and suggestions.
2. Important Bug Fixes
We resolved several issues affecting accuracy, stability, and OS compatibility:
- Dashboard Fix: Client/Project/Task section now updates correctly in the daily summary
- Focus Session Fix: No more duplicate time entries per session
- Authentication Bug Fix: Issues preventing successful login are now resolved
- Apple Silicon Warning: New alert when running the Intel macOS build on an M-chip Mac
- Updated Shortcut: Merge with previous entry is now CMD/CTRL + SHIFT + U
3. New Time Entry Suggestion Controls
A brand-new panel under Settings → Time Entries gives you deeper control and customization over how Rize generates time entry suggestions.
New options include:
- Ideal Time Entry Length — AI’s target duration for suggestions
- Minimum Time Entry Length — Ignore tiny blocks (goodbye 1-minute suggestions)
- Custom Instructions for Activity Summaries — Tell AI what to highlight
- Custom Instructions for Task, Project, & Client Suggestions — Add your own tagging guidance
- Enable/Disable Task, Project, & Client Suggestions — Turn suggestions off entirely
These settings make Rize significantly more flexible for different workflows.
