We’ve shipped a major round of improvements to Time Entry Suggestions, focused on making reviewing, editing, and refining your day faster, clearer, and more reliable.
This update significantly improves regenerate, split, and merge workflows—plus adds more context while you’re reviewing suggestions.
🔍 New Activity Panel (Optional Context View)
You can now toggle an Activity Panel directly from a time entry suggestion card.
- Shows top apps, websites, and titles
- Gives quick context on what you were actually working on
- Can be toggled on/off as needed
Perfect for sanity-checking AI suggestions at a glance.
⚡ Redesigned Quick Actions (Hover Menu)
Quick Actions are now more powerful, consistent, and keyboard-friendly.
From any time entry suggestion, you can now:
- Regenerate
- Split
- Merge
- Use updated keyboard shortcuts for faster review
These actions are available both in the daily timeline and the Time Entry Inbox.

Quick Regenerate
- Instantly regenerates title & description using AI
- Keeps the same start/end time
- Great for quick cleanups
- Shortcut:

Advanced Regenerate
- Open a prompt-based editor
- Tell AI exactly what you want:
- “Make it more concise”
- “Add more detail”
- Or any custom instruction
- Fully editable before saving

Cmd + G
Manual editing is always available if you just want to jump in and type.
✂️ Split (Now Much More Reliable)
We fixed all known split issues and rebuilt this flow for reliability and flexibility.
Quick Split (AI)
- Use natural language prompts (e.g. “Split when I started using Slack for customer support.”)
- AI splits the entry and regenerates titles/descriptions automatically
Advanced Split
- Manually drag split points on the timeline
- Add multiple split points (2, 3, 4+ entries)
- Preview results before committing
- Expand entries to see details while splitting
Includes a new “Generating” loading state so you always know what’s happening.
🔗 Merge Enhancements
Merging is now faster and more intentional.
Quick Merge
- Merge Up: merge into the entry above
- Merge Down: merge into the entry below
- Keyboard shortcuts supported
Advanced Merge
- Choose which entry’s title & description should be kept
- Preview what you’re merging into before confirming
This makes cleaning up fragmented time entries much easier.
