Query Parameters in URL Categorization Rules
- Previously, all URL categorization rules would remove all query parameters when creating the rule.
- This is an issue for websites that use query parameters to distinguish content such as YouTube. For example, the rule for youtube.com/watch?v=8YeRP2spPr8 would be youtube.com/watch.
- As of today, you can select an option to include query parameters. With the include parameters option selected, the rule for youtube.com/watch?v=8YeRP2spPr8 would be youtube.com/watch?v=8YeRP2spPr8.
- Be careful as order does matter when creating URL categorization rules with query parameters.
